How to be fit for boxing?
When I see boxers, most look like mountains that cant move one millimetre. But in the ring, they are so quick, you dont even see their fist coming, when they throw a hard punch.
How can I be strong and quick at the same time. I dont box, but this is useful in every sport (especially the sports I like).
What exercises should I focus on the most? What else should I do? How much running?
And If its possible, try to stay at body weight plus I have to short dumbbell and one long (barbel?).
Im not a native speaker, I apologise for every language mistake and hope, you can help me correct them,
Thank you! 🥊2 Comments-
Go to a boxing gym and start training hard. Do a lot of sprints and bodyweight exercises.

I’ve been boxing since 2011.
Truth is you gotta spend the time training in a boxing gym and be persistent about going by yourself to work on technique, and to recognize and improve your flaws.
I didn’t feel powerful until 2 years after I had begun training. There’s no real secret other than consistent training of your technique.
If there’s any knowledge I could give you to help, it’s to pivot on the balls of your feet and rotate your *torso with your shoulders for each punch you throw. But that takes leg endurance to perform, which only comes from skipping rope and running a couple miles regularly. And punching power only comes from how quick and hard you rotate, NOT from the muscles in your shoulders or arms.
Good luck in your training.
